This year, ever since it was announced that SUGCON would take place in Bangalore, I have been eagerly looking forward to it and was waiting for the registration link. However, when registration began, there was a twist which left me a bit worried about whether I would get an entry pass or not. Fortunately, this year, I am part of the MVP mentorship program, so I got the opportunity to attend.
Through this article, I aim to share a few highlights of the event and the key takeaways that I gleaned from it.
Event Highlights
- Sitecore’s evolution, ongoing innovation, its approach for the next year, and direct community engagement to enhance Sitecore customer experiences.
- Innovation is a key part of the company’s ethos, leading to the incorporation of AI features in several Sitecore products.
- Use of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to enhance Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT-4 by using data from Sitecore Search, providing a more tailored user experience through a Chatbot implementation.
- The session on Sitecore Community and the MVP Program provided a thorough explanation of the application process and provided insight into the evaluation of applicants based on various parameters. In this session, I also had the opportunity to speak about my views on the mentee and mentorship program when Tamas asked to share views.
- Real-time demo of XM Cloud form, which was completely based on configurations without any code. The form was integrated with Connect, which validated the data (Valid Names) using open AI. Following this validation, personalized emails were sent to customers using Sitecore Send.
- In the XM Cloud discourse, the conversation covered what has gone well so far, what hasn’t, updates released until now, and steps planned for the future.
- Future of the developer experience, including new certifications and the need for upskilling on new technological stacks.
